Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Brandes, that Ordinance No. 794, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, rezoning approximately 4.3 acres of land located on the <br />South side of Paseo Santa Cruz ~mmediately West of Valley Avenue from RM-4000 <br />(Multi-Family Residential) District and R-1-6500 (One-Family Residential) <br />District to P (Public and Institutional) District and R-1-6500 (One-Family <br />Residential District), and amending the Zoning ~p of the City of Pleasanton <br />accordingly, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Adoption of a ~esolution of the City Council of the..~ity of Pleasanton Adopt- <br />ing a Conflict of Interest Code Applicable to the Members of the City Council <br />Pursuant to the Political Reform Act of 1974 <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated September 21', 1976, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire stated she felt that the definition of the word <br />"relative" should be more inclusive in this matter. Councilmember LeClaire <br />believed that relative and in-laws of Councilmembers may appear before the <br />Council on matters and a Councilmember may gain some financial benefit as <br />a result. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes to adopt the Conflict of Interest <br />Code as presented. <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember LeCiaire, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mercer, that Resolution No. 76-216, a resolution of the City <br />Council of the City of Pleasanton adopting a Conflict of Interest Code appli- <br />cable to the members of the City Council pursuant to the Political Reform Act <br />of 1974, and amended to include that "relatives" be defined as "all relatives <br />by blood or marriage to the first degree", be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilm~mber Herlihy <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 792~ rezoDin8 appr.oximately 62 acres of land located <br />between West Las Positas Blvd.~ .the Southern Pacific Railroad tracksT the <br />Tassaiara Ca~al, .~nd Santa Rita Road from PUD (I-P and C-S) (Planned Unit <br />Development~ Industrial Park and Commercial Service) as follows: 23 acre <br />hospital site zoned P (Public and Institutional) District and the remaining <br />approximately 39 acres zoned Planned Unit Development (O and RM-2500) Dis- <br />trict~..subjec.t to cohditions (Introduced on 9-13-76 by a 4-1 vote) <br /> Mr. Scheidig stated this Ordinance was introduced on September 13, 1976, <br />by a 4-1 vote, and that it was now in order to adopt the Ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Ordinance No. 792, rezoning approximately 62 acres of land located between <br />West Las Positas Boulevard, the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks, the Tassajara <br />Canal, and Santa Rita Road from PUD (I-P and C-S) (Planned Unit Development, <br />Industrial Park and Commercial Service) as follows: 23 acre hospital site zoned <br />P (Public and Institutional) District and the remaining approximately 39 acres <br />zoned Planned Unit Development (O and RM-2500) District, subject to conditions, <br />and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 4. 9/27/76 <br /> <br /> <br />
