<br />Overcrossing, including a sixth alternative of a full interchange, be
<br />published in the local newspapers with cooperation from local merchants
<br />for return of the survey form.

<br />Report~ Re: Adoption of 1976-77 Tax Rate
<br />Mr. Edgar explained the reasons for the increase in revenues as being an
<br />increase in sales tax revenue and an increase in the property tax revenue
<br />due to higher assessed valuations.

<br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the City Manager dated August 16, 1976,
<br />regarding this matter.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Philcox presented his memorandum dated August 17, 1976, regarding
<br />this subject, requesting that the Tax Rate increase of 5¢ remain as is and
<br />be used for manpower in the Department of Public Safety.
<br />
<br /> Councilmember Mercer stated he favored no tax increase, and was concerned
<br />about spending more money.
