Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. R. E. Butler, 3831 Pinot Court, speaking on behalf of the Planning Commission, stated that the Planning Commission concurred with staff in the approval of 2,000 square foot minimum for office space. There being no further public testimony, Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. Councilmember Mercer stated that the Chamber of Commerce supported the 2,000 square foot minimum for office space. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, as recommended in Planning Commission Resolution No. 1516, that Ordinance No. 821, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, deleting Section 2-7.17(1) and amending Section 2-7.20(1)(a), Article 9, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to permitted uses in the I-P (Industrial Park) and I-G (General Indus- trial) Districts, be introduced. Mrs. Olga Morrow, 4593 Del Valle Parkway, representing Pleasanton Safe Streets Association, stated the residents in the area were not opposed to Morrison Homes development but were opposed to the Del Valle Parkway route, and requested City Council to reconsider this matter for alternative routes that would allow for a safer street. 5. 5/23/77
