It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, that the City Council oppose AB-764, Solid Waste Management Plan. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes and LeClaire NOES: Councilmembers Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox ABSENT: None It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that the City Council support AB-764, Solid Waste Management Plan. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy and Mercer NOES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, and Mayor Philcox ABSENT: None Council, after the above actions, will take no position on AB-764, Solid Waste Management Plan. Council took no position on SB-90, Revisions to State-Mandated Cost Reimbursement Law. Mr. Scheidig advised that AB-29, Property Tax Override Elections, had been passed. R,epo~t~ Re: Federal Unemployment Compensation Act Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter, requesting the City to participate in litigation opposing this legislation. After considerable discussion, Mayor Philcox declared this item continued to the meeting of May 9, 1977, for additional information. ~eport~ Re: LAVWMA Joint Powers Agreement Mr. Scheidig presented his report regarding this matter. APPOINTMENTS TO THE PLANNING CO}R4ISSION Mr. Campbell stated that the terms of Planning Commissioners R. E. Butler and Gregg Doherty expire on May 5, 1977, and that they are both eligible for reappointment to this Commission. It was moved by Mayor Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, to reappoint R. E. Butler and Gregg Doherty as members of the Planning Commission.
