It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, to advertise for the position of member on the Planning Commission for the ex- piring terms of R. E. Butler and Gregg Doherty, said terms to expire May 5, 1977. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, and Mercer NOES: Mayor Philcox ABSENT: None CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the Council. Councilmember Herlihy stated that Supervisor Valetie Raymond would meet with the Council on May 23, 1977, 7:00 P.M., and he presented a list of topics to be discussed at that time. Council concurred. Councilmember Brandes stated that in regard to the Planning Commission meeting of April 13, 1977, he would like to appeal anTaction taken by the Board of Adjustment regarding V-77-3. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution No. 77-124, appealing a decision of the Board of Adjustments- in approving Application V-77-3 of James T. Early for a Variance to allow the erection of a fence and a wall greater than 6 feet in height in the side and rear yard of a house located at 7567 Olive Drive, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None Councilmember LeClaire stated that in regard to the same Planning Commission meeting she would like to appeal an action taken by the Board of Adjustment. It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Mayor Philcox, that Resolution No. 77-125, appealing a decision of the Board of Adjustment in approving Application V-77-5 of Darwin Datwyler for a Variance to allow the subdivision of a parcel of land into seven lots, one of which would not have the required street frontage and several others which would not meet the code requirements for minimum lot depth and width, the property being located be- tween the Arroyo del Valle and the extension of the Del Valle Parkway, south- east of the intersection of the Del Valle Parkway and Harvest Road, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeCiaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None Mayor Philcox stated he had received a telephone call from Ralph Andersen, Executive Search Firm for City Manager, requesting to meet with the Council relative to selection for interview process. Council established May 4, 1977, 6:30 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers, as the time for meeting with Mr. Andersen. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS Councilmember Herlihy requested that the Police Department be instructed to set up patrol on Hopyard Road for speeders. 10. 4/25/77
