It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />to advertise for the position of member on the Planning Commission for the ex- <br />piring terms of R. E. Butler and Gregg Doherty, said terms to expire May 5, 1977. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, and Mercer <br />NOES: Mayor Philcox <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of <br />the Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Herlihy stated that Supervisor Valetie Raymond would meet <br />with the Council on May 23, 1977, 7:00 P.M., and he presented a list of topics <br />to be discussed at that time. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated that in regard to the Planning Commission <br />meeting of April 13, 1977, he would like to appeal anTaction taken by the <br />Board of Adjustment regarding V-77-3. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that Resolution No. 77-124, appealing a decision of the Board of Adjustments- in <br />approving Application V-77-3 of James T. Early for a Variance to allow the <br />erection of a fence and a wall greater than 6 feet in height in the side and <br />rear yard of a house located at 7567 Olive Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire stated that in regard to the same Planning Commission <br />meeting she would like to appeal an action taken by the Board of Adjustment. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Mayor Philcox, that <br />Resolution No. 77-125, appealing a decision of the Board of Adjustment in <br />approving Application V-77-5 of Darwin Datwyler for a Variance to allow the <br />subdivision of a parcel of land into seven lots, one of which would not have <br />the required street frontage and several others which would not meet the code <br />requirements for minimum lot depth and width, the property being located be- <br />tween the Arroyo del Valle and the extension of the Del Valle Parkway, south- <br />east of the intersection of the Del Valle Parkway and Harvest Road, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeCiaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox stated he had received a telephone call from Ralph Andersen, <br />Executive Search Firm for City Manager, requesting to meet with the Council <br />relative to selection for interview process.
