It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that Resolution No. 77-117, awarding the bid for Nuisance Abatement Program for <br />1977 to Spilker Tree Service, Inc., at $23.54 per hour, and authorizing the <br />appropriate City officials to execute the Contract, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Ceuncilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Review of Bids; Award of Contract for Valley Avenue and Santa Rite Road Water <br />Line <br /> Mr. Sooby presented his report dated April 19, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Resolution No. 77-118, awarding bid for the installation of a Water Main at <br />the Intersection of Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road - Project No. 77-4, to <br />Raymond J. Sooby presented his report dated April 19, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Ted Fairfield, MacKay and Somps, representing Castlewood Enterprises, stated <br />there was no intention to further subdivide the property beyond the four parcels <br />requested. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding additional conditions to insure the <br />property would not be further subdivided and proper location of prospective <br />houses to allow maximum separation of Septic Tanks. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />t,hat Resolution No. 77-119, approving application for four Septic Tanks for <br />Castlewood Enterprises, Foothill Road at Bernal Avenue, subject to the follow- <br />ing conditions: (1) That percolation tests to be performed by Alameda County <br />Health Department indicate acceptable percolation rates in the areas of the new <br />septic tank leech fields; (2) That the standard septic tank agreement for each <br />parcel be approved by the City Council at this time and be executed prior to <br />issuance of a building permit on the proposed parcels; (3) That the requirements <br />and conditions of the Alameda County Health ~epartment be fully complied with; <br />(4) That applicant develop and submit a plan indicating feasible connections <br />to the public sewer-system, this plan would be used in preparing the septic tank <br />agreements, specifically in indicating when a connection to the public sewer <br />system would be required; (5) That homes be situated on parcels B, C, and D so <br />as to eliminate or minimize the potential for resubdivision of these parcels <br />that might result in application for additional septic tank approvals; and (6) <br />-~b. at this approval be subject to approval of the application for Minor Sub- <br />division 77--5 now pending before the City, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 5. 4/25/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
