PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Hearing 0.f objections by pr,~perty owners to the Proposed Removal and Abatement <br />of Nuisance caused bX Noxious or Dan8erous Weeds growing upon or in front of <br />Pr_Lp. pertv owned by them in the City 9f Pleasanton <br /> Mro Scheidig presented his report dated April 5, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> F~yor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded ~y Councilmember Herlihy, <br /> that Resolution No. 77-106 overruling the objections of the public hearing and ' <br />authorizing the appropriate staff members to proceed with the abatement of the <br />nuisance caused by noxious or dangerous weeds growing on certain properties in <br />the City of Pleasanton as more particularly set forth in Exhibit A of Resolution <br />No. 77-92, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Request of George Canessa for removal of 21 Heritage Trees designated on site <br />plan for Parcel #946-1680-1~.formerly known as the "Berry Farm" <br /> Mr. Sooby presented his report dated April 7, 1977, regarding this ~tter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire expressed concern regarding the removal of this large <br />number of trees. <br /> <br /> b~. George Canessa, applicant, explained the fill program and phased develop- <br />ment of the proposed project. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution No. 77-107, approving the request of <br />George Canessa for removal of seven Heritage Trees and three smaller trees in <br />Phase One development at 3716 Stanley Boulevard; removal of two Heritage Trees <br />in Future Commerical Development area next to Phase One where four feet of fill <br />is required; and that a separate request regarding the removal of Heritage Trees <br />related to Phase Two be submitted when the plan is presented on this proposed <br />development, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, LeClaire, and Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Herlihy and Mayor Philcox <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mmyor Philcox stated he felt approval should be given for the entire tree <br />removal project at this time. <br /> <br /> 3. 4/11/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
