After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, to continue the matter of Ballot Measure Information to the meeting of February 28, 1977, and instructed the City Attorney to present sample wording for the Ballot Measure at that time. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: None ~p~rt~ Re: Water Conservation Study Mr. Campbell presented his report dated February 8, 1977, regarding this matter. He also presented a mailgram dated February 12, 1977, from Governor Brown, and a letter from the Division of Water Rights in Sacramento dated December 10, 1976, relating to this item. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution No. 77-43, approving the report of the Assistant City Manager dated February 8, 1977, with the recommendations for water conservation contained therein and authorizing negotiations with Zone 7 regarding its contract with the City for water purchase; authorizing contact with San Francisco regarding possible use of their well fields for emergency purchase of water; and amending the budget of the Engineering Division of the Department of Community Development by $2,500.00, to allow additional engineer- ing studies regarding the use of San Francisco well systems in the City's water system, be adopted.
