There being no further public testimony, Mayor Philcox declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, that the public hearing on this matter be reopened and <br />continued to the meeting of February 28, 1977, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council <br />Chambers. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Appeal of a decision of the Design Review Board tO deny a signin~ program <br />proposed by Blaze Custom Signs for the Davey Ace Hardware Store to be located <br />at 1807 Santa Rita Road <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from William Hirst, dated February 14, 1977, <br />Attorney representing Davey Ace Hardware Store, requesting a continuance of <br />two weeks on this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open on this matter, and con- <br />tinued to the meeting of February 28, 1977, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council <br />Chambers. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Reconsideration of letter to Harvest Park Student Body <br /> This item was considered as item 5a on the agenda. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report~ Re: .C.heese Factory Permit <br /> Mayor Philcox declared this item continued to the meeting of February 28, <br />1977, as requested by staff and the applicant. <br /> <br />Report~ Re; .Ballot Measure Information <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated February 9, 1977, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig informed the Council that the deadline for having a measure <br />on the Ballot is March 10th. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Council concurred to eliminate the projects of the West <br />Las Positas Overcrossing and the Park Bond Issue, and to only consider placing <br />the matter of a tax override for Public Safety on the Ballot. <br /> <br /> Mr. Scheidig advised the Council that it was his understanding that SB-90 <br />will not permit a specific item to be identified with an override request, but <br />he would research and clarify this issue. <br /> <br /> 6. 2/14/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
