Mr. }{udson introduced John Viscovich, teacher at Harvest Park School, who <br />sponsored the car wash to raise funds to cover damages done. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Brandes, that a City Council commendation be presented to the Student Body <br />at Harvest Park School expressing appreciation for their outstanding action <br />and responsibility shown in regard to taking care of damages done to Walnut <br />Grove Park. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Coun~zilmember M~rcer stated he felt the City should take care of the <br />damage that ~as done to private fences in the area at this same time. <br /> <br /> Council concurred not to send a proposed letter prepared by the City <br />~nager to Harvest Park Student Body regarding the damage to the Park. <br /> <br />Appointments to Housing Authority Board <br /> M~yor Philcox stated that interviews had been conducted earlier regarding <br />this ma:ter and that it was now in order to make appointments. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution No. 77-41, appointing Mrs. Pat Broughton <br />to serve as a member of the Housing Authority Board representing Komandorski <br />Village, to fill the unexpired term of Beverly Montgomery, said term to expire <br />~y 1, I~80, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSE!~: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by C0uncilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 77-42, appointing Mrs. Dawn Gordner to serve as a member of <br />the Housing Authority Board for a four year term to replace William Thompson, <br />said term to expire January 25, 1981, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />~;OES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />PUBLIC }IEARINGS <br />Application of the Plannin~ Commission to fezone app[oxi~.te~X 120 acres of land <br />located west of Foothill Road near its intersection with Bernal Avenue from the <br />R-!-40,000 to the HPD (Hillside Planned Development) District (Contd. Op~n from <br />12-13-76 ~nd 1-3-77) <br /> Mr. Edgar presented a letter from Richard Braden dated February 9, 1977, <br />requesting that this item be continued to allow further study of the matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared that the public hearing on this matter be continued <br />Open to the meeting of March 14, 1977, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br /> 4. 2/14/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
