It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember <br /> LeC!aire, that Resolution No. 77-27, awarding bid for one Tractor to Hayward <br /> Ford Tractor Sales in the amount of $8,035.43, and one Scooter to Tractor <br /> Equipment Sales in the amount of $4,037.76, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSenT: None <br /> <br />~tters for the Information of the Council <br />Mr. Edgar stated the next neighborhood meeting would be February 7, 1977, <br />at Fairlands School. Council concurred the agenda for that meeting should be <br />the same format as previous neighborhood meeting agendas. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />~eport~ Re: Security Ordinance <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented the report of the Deputy City Attorney dated <br />January 19, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Detective Jim Belch explained the protective lock system. <br /> <br /> It w~s moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Ordinance No. 811, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, adding Article 3 (Secu=ity) to Chapter 3 (Building Code), Title II <br />(Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton re- <br />lating to Security, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After discussion, Council requested an informal report from the City Attorney <br />regarding the possible requirement of such things as safety locks, smoke de- <br />tectors, etc., in resale residences which would not be subject to the provi- <br />si'ons of the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />~eport, Re:..Charles E.
