The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT= None <br /> <br />Appeal of Chris Beratlis of a decis~on~ the Board of Adjustment_denying Ca~ <br />V-77-13~ an application to allow the expansion of a buildin~ located at 287 <br />Bernal Avenue which would encroach into the required side ~ard and which would. <br />have less parkin~ than required b~ Code <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report da~:ed November 1~ 1977, regarding this m~tter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open~ <br /> <br /> Mr o Chris Beratlis, 425 Main Stree~:, stated he concurred with the staff <br />report to deny his appeal. He stated 'that the appeal was filed at the request <br />of his tenant and he did not concur with the appeal~ <br /> <br /> Mr. Thurman Caudill, 4715B Augustine Street, spoke in opposition to the <br />appeal because of the parking and traffic problems it would create. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Philco~ declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Resolution No. 77-301, denying the appeal of Chris Beratlis of a decision <br />of the Board of Adjustment denying Case V-77-13, an application to allow the <br />expansion of a building located at 287 Bernal Avenue which would encroach <br />the required side yard and which would have less parking than required by Code, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Request of Chris Beratlis for an except32p to the requirements of Section 2~16.22 <br />of the Pleasanton Ordinance Code relati~ to connections to the Water System of <br />the City. of Pleasanton <br /> Mr. Campbell presented the report of the Director of Engineering Services <br />dated November 3, 1977~ regarding this matter~ <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> b~. Chris Beratlis~ 425 Main Street} spoke in favor of the application. <br /> <br /> No one spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> }~yor Philcox declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding septic tanks, fire protection~ water <br />pressure~ future development, annexation, roads and water lines in this area. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilm~aber Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Resolution No. 77-302, approving the request of Chris Beratlis for an <br />exception to the requirements of Section 2-16.22 of the Pleasanton Ordinance <br />Code relating to connections to the Water System of the City of Pleasanton, be <br />adopted. <br /> <br /> 4. 11/8/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
