The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: Councilmember LeClaire <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />instructing staff to proceed on annexation studies of the area East of the City <br />Limits off Crellin Road, and explore developing a rural ordinance on servicing <br />and controlling this area. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of the Planning Commission to amend Section 2-7.08(a) of Article.8~ <br />Chapter 2..~ Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City 9f Pleasantony to allow. <br />waterbed sales as a .permitted use in the C-N (Neighborhood Commercial)~. C-C ..... <br /> (Central Commercial) and C-R (Regional Comm.ercial) Districts <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated November 1, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> b~yor Philcox declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Percival Scales, Partner, Essenar Developers, (Safeway Shopping Center), <br />spoke in favor of the application. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Philcox declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Ordinance No. 836, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, to amend Section 2-7.08(a) of Article 8, Chapter 2, Title II of the <br />Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, to allow waterbed sales as a permitted <br />use in the C-N (Neighborhood Commercial), C-C (Central Commercial) and C-R <br />(Regional Commercial) Districts, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox recessed the meeting at 9:20 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox reconvened the meeting at 9:30 P.M. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Selection o~ one member. ~p.. serve on t~e Hi.storical Lagdmark Ove~l.aX District <br />Advisory Committee <br /> Mayor Philcox stated that four appointments had been made to the Historical <br />Landmark Overlay District Advisory Committee, and that it was now in order for <br />Councilmember LeClaire to present her recommendation. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire requested that Judith K. Hanhy be appointed to the <br />Historical Landmark Overlay District Advisory Committee because of her partici- <br />pation on the Bicentennial Committee, Heritage Subcommittee, and her interest <br />in the history of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 5. ii/8/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
