105 <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes suggested that next year the Park and Recreation <br />Commission review the program of the Pleasanton Swim Club the latter part of <br />May so that it can be considered by Council during Budget review. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Lion's Club Application for a Parade Permit <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated October 18, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ben Fernandez, President of the Lion's Club, discussed details of the <br />Parade, the concessions, and other matters related to the Fair Parade. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Herlihy, that Resolution No. 77-286, approving the parade permit <br />request by the Lion's Club for the 1978 Alameda County Fair Parade subject to <br />conditions established by the Department of Public Safety; that the City pay <br />for City costs directly related to the Parade in the approximate amount of <br />$1,710.00; that the City pay for portable toilets at an approximate cost of <br />$150.00; and that the Lion's Club attempt to receive a larger commitment from <br />the Alameda County Fair Board to defray the cost of the Parade, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Semi-Annual Report on Allocation of Remainins Capacity at the Sunol Treatment <br />Plant <br /> }~. Campbell presented his report dated October 18, 1977, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert Grove, 5555 San Jose Drive, representing Mission Park Homeowners <br />Association, requested Council not to increase the sewer allocations to the <br />Sunol Treatment Plant, and to receive documented complaints from the Homeowners <br />Association regarding odor problems. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell stated he would accept all complaints regarding odor but felt <br />the sewer plant was operating satisfactorily. Mr. Campbell further suggested <br />that the City be advised immediately of any complaints in order that prompt <br />action could be undertaken. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 77-287, approving the report of the Assistant City Manager <br />dated October 18, 1977, regarding semi-annual report on allocation of remaining <br />capacity at the Sunol Treatment Plant, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />LAVW~L~ Reclamation Study - Committee Appointments <br /> ~yor Philcox presented the report of the City Manager dated October 18, <br />1977, regarding this matter, and stated it was now in order to make Committee <br />appointments. <br /> <br /> 5. 10/25/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
