111 <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Appeal of Chris Beratlis of a decision of the Board of Adjustment denying case <br />V-77-13~ an application to allow the expansion of a building located at 287 <br />Bernal Avenue which would encroach into the required side yard and which would <br />have less parkin~ than required by code <br /> Mr. Brown presented a letter from Chris Beratlis dated October 10, 1977, <br />requesting continuance of this item due to his absence from the City. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open on the appeal of Chris <br />Beratlis of a decision of the Board of Adjustment denying case V-77-13, an <br />application to allow the expansion of a building located at 287 Bernal Avenue <br />which would encroach into the required side yard and which would have less <br />parking than required by code, and continued to the meeting of November 8, <br />1977, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Selection of members to serve on the Historical Landmark Overlay District <br />Advisory Committee <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated October 20, 1977, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox stated it was now in order to Councilmembers to make their <br />appointments to the Historical Landmark Advisory Committee. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire requested that her appointment to this Committee be <br />made at a subsequent meeting because she had not been able to contact her <br />possible appointees. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that Paul Larson be appointed to the <br />Committee due to his involvement with the Historical Society and qualifica- <br />tions in his resume to Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that Dorothy Davis be appointed to the <br />Committee due to her past involvement with the Pleasanton Bicentennial Heritage <br />Committee and qualifications in her resume to Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Herlihy requested that Loretta Lund be appointed to the <br />Committee due to her past membership on the Bicentennial Heritage Committee <br />and other qualifications set forth in her resume to Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Philcox requested that Bill Apperson be appointed to the Committee <br />due to his long involvement in the Historical Society as a member and past <br />president. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 77-284, appointing Paul Larson, Dorothy Davis, Loretta Lund, <br />and Bill Apperson as members of the Historical Landmark Overlay District Advisory <br />Committee for a term of two years each, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 2. 10/25/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
