Mr. Brown presented a memorandum of the Director of Recreation dated August <br /> 30, 1977, regarding Winter Pool Use of Pleasanton Aquatic Center, and stated this <br /> matter would be discussed at the meeting of October 11, 1977. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented a memorandum from the Director of Planning dated September <br /> 6, 1977, regarding the Limited Care Retirement Facility. <br /> <br /> Mr. Broom presented his memorandum dated September 6, 1977, regarding City <br /> Council Agenda Planning Report for September-November. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented tile report of the Assistant City Manager dated September <br /> 8, 1977, regarding Water Use. <br /> <br />· -4 Mr. Brown presented a memorandum of the Assistant to the City Manager-Miller <br />~ regarding extension of CETA Title VI Special Projects funding, and stated this <br />~ matter would be on the City Council agenda of September 20, 1977. <br />~ REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Report~ Re: City Treasurer <br /> Mayor Philcox declared this item continued to September 20, 1977, due to length <br /> of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Approval of Kaiser Contract for Busch Road <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated September 8, 1977, regarding this <br /> matter and explained the provisions of the contract and rationale of its contents <br /> in detail. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br /> that Resolution No. 77-244, authorizing execution by the Mayor, subject to approval <br /> by the City Attorney, of an agreement with Kaiser Industries Corporation, Sand and <br /> Gravel Division, conveying to the City of Pleasanton fee title to old Valley Avenue <br /> and Busch Road, and paying $22,500.00 to the City of Pleasanton in complete satis- <br /> faction of Kaiser's obligations under an agreement of February 7, 1972, for addi- <br /> tional safety devices to be installed at the Southern Pacific Busch Road Crossing, <br /> be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> City Attorney Staff Compensat~0n <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated September 7, 1977, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br /> that Resolution No. 77-245, establishing salary and fringe benefits for the Deputy <br /> City Attorney and Legal Assistant (Legal Secretary) for the Fiscal Year 1977-78, <br /> and amending the City of Pleasanton Budget accordingly, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> " AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 9. 9/13/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
