Report of the Planning Commissio.n~. Re: Santa Rite Road Name Change Mr. Sooby presented his report dated August 16, 1977, regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Herlthy, that Resolution No. 77-231, effecting street name changes on Santa Rita Road as follows: (1) change Tassajara Road between Santa Rita Road and Route 580 to Santa Rita Road; and (2) change Santa Rita Road between Tassajara Road and its north- erly terminus to Old Santa Rita Road,be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER Mr. Brown presented his report dated August 17, 1977, regarding this matter. The Mayor requested that salary increases for the City Attorney's office be deferred until Councilmember Brandes returned. It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, that Resolution No. 77-232, approving the 1977-78 management and confidential employees compensation plan, not including the City Manager and City Attorney, repealing Resolution No. 76-163, and amending the 1977-78 Budget accordingly, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes It was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that Resolution No. 77-233, repealing Resolution No. 77-49, which established minimum qualifications for the position of Fire Chief, be adopted. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, instructing staff to contact the Alameda County Planning Department requesting them to continue the matter of Sewage Disposal Systems Policy Study until September 19, 1977, to allow further review by Council, to place this item on the City Council agenda for review on September 13, 1977,. and to also advise Alameda County Planning Department of Council's current policy of opposition to package treatment plants for new residential developments.
