Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 857 was introduced on June 20, 1978, <br />by a vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordi- <br />nance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that Ordinance No. 857, to remove the fee schedule for the Residential Construc- <br />tion Tax from the Residential Construction Tax Ordinance and to place the fee <br />schedule in the resolution establishing fees and charges for various municipal <br />services including amending Section 1-6.62 of Article 6, Chapter 3, Title I of <br />the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br />A~op%ion of Resolution No. 78-161, to add the Residential Construction Tax <br />Schedule to the Resolution Establishin~ Fees and Charges for Various Municipal <br />Services of the City of Pleasanton <br /> Mayor Mercer stated this resolution was introduced on June 20, 1978, by a <br />vote of 3-Ayes, 2-Absent, setting the fee at $200.00 per unit, and that it was <br />now in order to adopt the resolution. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and <br />seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 78-161, amending the <br />resolution establishing fees and charges for various municipal services by <br />adding the Residential Construction Tax schedule at a rate pf $125.00 per <br />room, and that the rates established by this resolution not apply to those <br />projects which have already received Residential Allocation Program approval <br />if those projects receive building permits before the close of the application <br />period for the next Residential Allocation Program allocation; such projects <br />will pay a Residential Construction Tax based on the schedule superceded by <br />this resolution, b~ adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, and Wood <br />NOES: Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 9:15 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 9:25 P.M. <br /> <br />SPECiAL REPORTS <br />Scqpe of Work for HousinM Authority Operation Review (Contd. from 6-13-78) <br /> b~yor Mercer asked for reports from Councilmembers Brandes and Wood regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes presented his report, which is as follows: <br /> <br />"I believe that the care and concern towards Senior Citizens should be one of <br />the highest priorities within our community. Although the current situation <br />deals with Rotringer Place there is the need for individuals and organizations <br />to become more active in meeting the needs of all our Senior Citizens including <br />the construction of additional low cost housing. <br /> <br /> 5. 6/27/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
