Application of the Planning Cp.mmi.ss~on to amend Art.icle .16.~ Chapter 2~ Title.II~ <br />of the Ordinance C.ode.of the City of Pleasanton as it relates to parking.re-- <br />quirements for liquor stores <br /> Mr. }L~rris presented his report dated June 16, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ed Alves, 1114 Santa Rite Road, asked for a definition of "liquor stores". <br />Staff advised that it was a general term relating to stores that dealt mainly in <br />liquor. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, }~yor Mercer declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he would abstain from participating on this <br />item_ due to a potential Conflict of Interest. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the definition of "liquor stores". <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that the <br />public hearing be reopened and the application of the Planning Commission to <br />amend Article 16, Cb2pter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of <br />Pleasanton as it relates to parking requirements for liquor stores, be sent <br />back to staff for clarification of the definition of "liquor stores", for further <br />consideration at the meeting of July 25, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council <br />Chambers. <br />The roll call vo~e was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kep.hart <br />ABSTAiNED:Councilman Brandes <br /> <br />MATTLRS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 854~. ~o rezone a 3.8 acre parcel of land located on the <br />east side of Santa Rite Road immediately. north.. of the Arroyo Mocho from the <br />RM-2500 (Multip.le ~..amil7 Residential) District to the C-N (Commercial NeiShbor- <br />hood) District, and amending the Zonin~ Map of the City of Pleasanton accoFdingly <br />(Intro. on 6-13-78,. by a 3-2 vote) <br /> ~ayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of July 11, 1978, <br />for full Council attendance. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 855~ amendin~ Subsection (c) of Section 2-5.37 (Front <br />Yards: Requirements and Exceptions) and Subsection (f) of Section 2-5.38 (Side <br />and Rear Yards: Requirements and Exceptions) of Article ~ (Site~.Yard~.
