The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Wood, and Mayor ~ercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that a copy of this report and the action <br />taken by City Council be transmitted to the Pleasanton Meadows 1tomeowners <br />Association. <br /> <br />Increase in Water Service Char~es and Connection Fees <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated June 20, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding reduced rates for senior citizens. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 78-173, approving increase in Water Service Charges to insure <br />that a greater portion of the fixed cost of operating the water system could be <br />met even though water usage ~ere to decline, that senior citizens 62 years or <br />older who provide a Gold Card as evidence of age be given a 20% reduction in <br />rates for owner-occupied residence for residential use only and for one unit <br />only; and approving the rate structure as follows: <br /> <br /> Water Charge <br /> 0 - 500 cu. ft. .36 <br /> 501 - 1,000 .36 <br /> 1,000 - 2,000 .36 <br /> 2,001 - .36 <br /> <br /> Meter Charge <br /> 5/8 x 3/4 inch $6.25 <br /> 1 inch 6.25 <br /> 1-1/2 inch 16.00 <br /> 2 inch 24.30 <br /> 3 inch 43..00 <br /> 4 inch 67.00 <br /> 6 inch 125..00 <br /> 8 inch 186.00 <br /> I0 inch 215..00 <br /> <br />and that the Water Connection fees for single family houses or equivalents in <br />increased from $152 to $285 and the following schedule for all other uses be <br />adjusted as follows: <br /> <br /> Meter Size <br /> Less than 1 inch $285.00 <br /> 1 inch 535.00 <br /> 1-1/2 inch 1,070.00 <br /> 2 inch 1,710.00 <br /> 3 inch 3,200.00 <br /> 4 inch 5,350.00 <br /> 6 inch 10,700.00 <br /> 8 inch 17,100.00 <br /> 10 inch 21,375.00 <br /> <br />be adopted. <br /> <br /> 10. 6/27/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
