It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br /> that Resolution No. 78-122, approving the settlement agreement between Pleasan- <br /> ton Safe Streets Association vs. Morrison Homes and the City of Pleasanton, and <br /> authorizing the Mayor to sign the agreement on behalf of the City, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Brown stated that interviews were still pending for the one vacancy on <br /> the Housing Authority Board. After discussion, Council determined to schedule <br /> these interviews on Tuesday, May 16, 1978, beginning at 7:30 P.M. After the <br /> interview period, Council will consider the Proposition 13 Report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented his Information Report dated April 28, 1978, regarding <br />litter and trash conditions at shopping centers. Councilmember Kephart re- <br />quested that a copy of this report be sent to Mr. Bill Vigil, President of the <br />Pleasanton ~eadows Homeowners Association. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brox~n presented the Information Report of the Chief Building Inspector <br />dated April 26, 1978, regarding new State-mandated energy conservation standards. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented the City Council agenda planning report for May, June, <br />and July. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> ~r. Levine presented a brief oral report indicating a law clerk had been <br />found to do a preliminary draft for a subdivision ordinance update. It is <br />estimated that it will take approximately 150 hours to complete with June 6, <br />1978, being the target date for completion. <br /> <br />CO~NICATIONS <br /> There were no communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Coamittee Reports for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATEO BY COUNCIL M~.~BERS <br /> Councilmember Kephart requested assurance, for the record, that the letter <br />to P.O.S.T. requesting a preliminary evaluation of the Police Department had <br />been mailed. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes expressed concern regarding changes in the prison <br />facility near Pleasanton and requested Council to take a position similar to <br />one taken two or three years ago regarding type of facility, prisoners, policy <br />changes, etc. Mayor Mercer stated that he and the City Manager had scheduled <br />a meeting with the warden on Tuesday, May 16, 1978, and suggested that no <br />action be taken until after the meeting. <br /> <br /> 8. 5/9/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
