Butler, for a three year <br />term, said term to expire May 5, 1981, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CONSIDER 1978-79 BUDGET <br />Police <br /> Police Chief McCloud presented the 1978-79 Budget and described the <br />organization structure of the Police Department. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding the number of hours of training, and <br />requested staff to get the correct number of training hours from 1975-76 to <br />1978-79 with an explanation of how they are calculated. <br /> <br /> Councilman Kephart stated that the Horizons Program is outstanding and <br />inquired if the department had made efforts to secure outside funding for <br />this program. Chief McCloud stated that he had not looked into this matter <br />although discussions had been held with OCJP. Mr. Brown stated that staff <br />will explore funding and an application.
