MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 1, 1978 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 7:05 P.M. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> The roll call is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, <br />Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. Brown, City Manager, Mr. Walker, Assist- <br />ant to the City Manager, Mr. McCloud, Police Chief, Mr. Nelson, Captain, Mr. Free- <br />man, Lieutenant, and Mr. McCollum, Lieutenant, were present. <br /> <br />INTERVIEWS FOR PLANNING COMMISSIONERS <br /> City Council conducted interviews for the three vacancies on the Planning <br />Commission. The following persons were interviewed: <br /> <br /> Jim Garrett <br /> John Marshall <br /> Pat Geary <br /> Alan Grossman <br /> Joyce Getty <br /> F~rin Mohr <br /> Fred Chester <br /> Edwin Louie <br /> DeWitt Wilson <br /> Barry Bromstead <br /> Ken Geppert <br /> Kent Pryor <br /> Jim Drush <br /> Howard Neely <br /> C. Dennis Blum <br /> Allen Schuh <br /> <br /> It was determined by Council to select the Commissioners by ballot vote. <br />The first ballot was as follows: <br /> <br /> DeWitt Wilson 4 votes <br /> Karin Mohr 2 votes <br /> James R. Garrett 1 vote <br /> Joyce Getty 2 votes <br /> Ken Geppert 4 votes <br /> Pat Geary 1 vote <br /> <br /> <br />
