After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that an ordinance extending for eight (8) months the H-O (Historical Landmark Overlay) District Classification established by Ordinance No. 838 (An Interim Ordinance placing Certain Structures into a H-O (Historical Landmark Overlay) District for Four Months) and adopting the same as an Urgency Measure, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Kephart and Wood NOES: Mayor Mercer ABSENT: None Failing to receive the 4 to 5 vote required, the motion fails. Application of the City Council for an amendment to Section 2-7.08(a)~ Article 8~ Chapter 2~ ~itle II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton~ which would revise, comprehensively~ the schedule of permitted and conditional uses in all of the commercially zoned district of the City of Pleasanton Councilmember Kephart requested this item be continued to a later date as he had not had ample time to review the matter. Council agreed it would be appropriate to continue this item until after the new Councilmember had been appointed and given time to study the matter. Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application of the City Council for an amendment to Section 2-7.08(a), Article 8, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, which would revise, com- prehensively, the schedule of permitted and conditional uses in all of the com~nercially zoned district of the City of Pleasanton, and continued to the meeting of May 9, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION Pleasanton Girls' Soccer Association Request for permission that donation fee be charged for Soccer Tournament Mr. Brown presented the report of the Director of Recreation and Human Services dated 3-23-78, regarding this matter. Council reviewed their policy regarding entrance fees charged for events scheduled in City parks, and agreed the word "donation" should be used instead of "entrance fee" and that it should be specified that anyone does not have to donate if they object to such donation. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, to approve the Pleasanton Girls' Soccer Association request for permission that donation for entrance be allowed for Soccer Tournament to be held at Amador Valley Community Park, April 8-9, 1978.
