After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and <br /> seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that an ordinance extending for eight (8) <br /> months the H-O (Historical Landmark Overlay) District Classification established <br /> by Ordinance No. 838 (An Interim Ordinance placing Certain Structures into a <br /> H-O (Historical Landmark Overlay) District for Four Months) and adopting the <br /> same as an Urgency Measure, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Kephart and Wood <br /> NOES: Mayor Mercer <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Failing to receive the 4 to 5 vote required, the motion fails. <br /> <br />Application of the City Council for an amendment to Section 2-7.08(a)~ Article <br />8~ Chapter 2~ ~itle II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton~ which <br />would revise, comprehensively~ the schedule of permitted and conditional uses <br />in all of the commercially zoned district of the City of Pleasanton <br /> Councilmember Kephart requested this item be continued to a later date as <br />he had not had ample time to review the matter. Council agreed it would be <br />appropriate to continue this item until after the new Councilmember had been <br />appointed and given time to study the matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application of the <br />City Council for an amendment to Section 2-7.08(a), Article 8, Chapter 2, Title <br />II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, which would revise, com- <br />prehensively, the schedule of permitted and conditional uses in all of the <br />com~nercially zoned district of the City of Pleasanton, and continued to the <br />meeting of May 9, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Pleasanton Girls' Soccer Association Request for permission that donation fee <br />be charged for Soccer Tournament <br /> Mr. Brown presented the report of the Director of Recreation and Human <br />Services dated 3-23-78, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Council reviewed their policy regarding entrance fees charged for events <br />scheduled in City parks, and agreed the word "donation" should be used instead <br />of "entrance fee" and that it should be specified that anyone does not have to <br />donate if they object to such donation. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />to approve the Pleasanton Girls' Soccer Association request for permission that <br />donation for entrance be allowed for Soccer Tournament to be held at Amador <br />Valley Community Park, April 8-9, 1978. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Kephart, Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> 5. 3/28/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
