Establishment of Veterans Memorial Buildin~ Advisory Commission <br /> Mr. Caporusso presented his report dated February 9, 1978, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> ~IIr. Levine presented minor language modifications to the draft resolution. <br />Council concurred with the changes. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember ~fercer, <br />that Resolution No. 78-37, establishing a Veterans' ~emorial Building Advisory <br />Commission, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember LeClaire <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> ~r. Brown presented the report of the Director of Recreation and Human <br />Resources dated February 8, 1978, regarding a Status Report on the Tennis <br />Program at Tennis Faire. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented his memorandum dated February 9, 1978, regarding City <br />Council Agenda Planning Report for February, March, and April. <br /> <br />Request of Castle~xood Country Club.~ Re: Use of West Pleasanton Sewer Line <br /> Mr. Brown presented a letter from Brian D. Seibel dated February 7, 1978, <br />representing Castlewood Country Club, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> ~fr. Brian D. Seibel, 2109 Fourth Street, Livermore, Attorney representing <br />Castlewood Country Club, stated that the request to use the West Pleasanton <br />Sewer Line was to alleviate a potential health hazard caused by the heavy rains <br />and would be only for an interim period of approximately thirty (30) days. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented recommendations for Council consideration relative to <br />Castlewood Country Club's use of the West Pleasanton Sewer Line. Mr. Seibel, <br />on behalf of Castlewood Country Club, agreed to the recommendations. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />that Resolution No. 78-38, approving the request of Castlewood Country Club to <br />use the West Pleasanton Sewer Line subject to the following conditions: (1) That <br />a temporary connection to the West Pleasanton Sewer Line be at a point and by a <br />method acceptable to the City Manager; (2) The temporary connection remain for <br />no longer than thirty (30) days after which all temporary facilities will be <br />removed; (3) The temporary connection may be terminated by the City at any time <br />it is determined to be detrimental to the City's facilities or upon request by <br />DSRSD or the Regional Water Quality Control Board; (4) Castlewood is required <br />to pay all costs incurred by the City for the temporary connection; (5) The <br />temporary connection not be completed until written notice is received from <br />DSRSD stating that they will accept Castlewood flows and under what conditions; <br />(6) That Castlewood hold the City harmless for any actions taken against the <br />City by other governmental agencies or individuals arising out of the temporary <br />connection; and (7) Castlewood be responsible for any problems caused to the <br />West Pleasanton line caused by their use of the line, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 6. 2/15/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
