It was moved by Mayor Philcox, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that Ordinance No. 846, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, adding Article 10 (Horse Ordinance), Chapter 2 (Traffic Control Devices and Regulations relating to Vehicular and Pedestrian Movement), of Title V (Vehicles and Traffic, Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasan- ton concerning horse traffic on Main Street and in Shopping Centers, be intro- duced. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, that Ordinance No. 847, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, amending the Pleasanton Ordinance Code to make parking violations in- fractions by adding Section 1-1.15 (Infractions) to Chapter 1 of Title I and by deleting Section 5-157 (Penalties) from Article 3 of Title V, be introduced. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the Council. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS Councilmember Brandes inquired as to when a report would be completed regarding restriction of commercial vehicles in residential areas, which he requested recently. Mr. Levine stated he would check into this matter. Councilmember ~ercer stated he had been approached by the Pleasanton Soccer League regarding the possibility of the City paying for six portable toilets required for a Soccer Tournament on February 18 and 19, 1978. It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 78-38a, authorizing that the'City pay for six portable toilets at a cost of $24.00 each, to be used at the Pleasanton Soccer Tournament on Febru- ary 18 and 19, 1978, be adopted. 7. 2/15/78
