Mayor Philcox declared the public hearing open on the appeal of Robert J. <br />Myers to a decision of the Planning Commission denying PUD-77-7, an application <br />for a planned unit development to rezone a 12.7 acre site located immediately <br />south of the terminus of Las Lomitas Drive and east of the Pleasanton School <br />from the A (Agricultural) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development Medium <br />Density Residential) District and to approve a development plan for the site <br />consisting of a ll9-unit limited care retirement facility, and continued to the <br />meeting of February 28, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />~TTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordin.~nce .No. 844~ increasin5 Councilmembers salaries to the <br />statutoFy limit of $150.00 .per month (Introduced 1-24-78, bX a 4-1 vote) <br /> Mayor Philcox stated this ordinance was introduced on January 24, 1978, <br />by a 4-1 vote, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer reiterated his opposition to the increase in Council- <br />members salaries, stating he felt it was not appropriate. Council took no action on this item. <br /> <br />Report~ Re: Human Services Commission Human Needs Assessment Survey; Time Sche- <br />dule and Cost for Developing "Action Plan" <br /> Mrs. Sharon Kosch, Chairperson of the Human Services Commission, presented <br />their report dated February 9, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding money spent thusfar, time schedule for <br />completion, and the human service needs in Pleasanton. Councilmember Brandes <br />strongly opposed the survey and the expenditure of any additional funds relat- <br />ing to this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer commended those responsible for preparation of the <br />survey. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Resolution No. 78-35, approving completion of the Action Plan by the Human <br />Sez~ices Commission no later than October 1, 1978; that $2,200.00 be allocated <br />from the 1977-78 Fiscal Year Budget for personnel costs; and instructing staff <br />to include $3,000.00 in the preliminary budget of 1978-79 for personnel costs <br />for further review, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 4. 2/15/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
