After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Brandes, that Resolution No. 78-27, urging the State Water Re- <br />sources Control Board to allow the City of Pleasanton to proceed immediately <br />with construction of the proposed interceptor sewer project, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell stated that the proposed interceptor sewer drop line in the <br />Zone 7 Canal would have to be lowered at an additional expense, and requested <br />that application for grant money be submitted to the State for installation of <br />this line. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Herlihy, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />instructing staff to make formal application with the State for Federal grant <br />money to lower the drop line in the Zone 7 Canal for the proposed interceptor <br />sewer project. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and l~yor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br />Mr. Brown presented his memorandum dated January 18, 1978, regarding dis- <br />banding of COVA. Councilmember Herlihy stated he would attend the meeting on <br />January 26, 1978, at which time COVA will be formally dissolved. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented a letter from Supervisor Valerie Raymond dated January <br />18, 1978, regarding formation of a committee to study the annexation and/or in- <br />corporation of Dublin.
