There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and <br />seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that Ordinance No. 874, amending the permitted <br />and conditionally permitted uses in the CR(M) and CR(P) Districts as recommended <br />by the Planning Commission and in addition a category of Tire, Batteries and <br />Accessories of major department stores be shown as Permitted in the CR(M) and <br />CR(P) Districts, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Wood <br />NOES: Mayor Mercer <br />ABSEnt: None <br /> <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded <br />by Councilmember Butler, that Ordinance No. 875, modifying Ordinance No. 874 by <br />changing the category of "Automotive Sales and Service!' in the CR(P) District <br />from conditionally perm~itted to a permitted use, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Wood, and 1~yor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmen Brandes and Kephart <br />ABSEnt: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that the <br />balance of the commercial zoning district uses be reviewed at a meeting in January. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 10:50 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 11:00 P.M. <br /> <br />~TTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Annexation 73, 13.6 Acres on the North Side of Stanley Boulevard <br />Continued from 11-14-78) <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated November 7, 1978, regarding this matter, <br />and stated it had been continued from the meeting of November 14, 1978, at the <br />request of the applicant, Joseph ~dden. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Nirst, Attorney representing the applicant, urged Council to <br />follow staff's recommendation to file application with LAFCO for annexation of <br />all of the unincorporated County territory on both sides of Stanley Boulevard <br />between Main Street and First Street. <br /> <br /> Mr. Earl Augusta, 3963 Stanley Boulevard, stated he was not opposed to <br />annexation but wanted to be sure his property would be zoned residential <br />rather than commercial. He further stated he felt all of the affected property <br />owners in the unincorporated area should be polled regarding annexation, and <br />that their choice regarding this matter should be honored. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public <br />hearing closed. <br /> <br /> 6. 12/5/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
