Adoption of Resolution No. 78-280, approving revision of construction dates <br /> for Underground Utility District No. 78-1 as follows: (1) Affected property <br /> owners must be ready to receive underground service not later than January <br /> 31, 1979; and (2) Removal of poles, overhead wires and other associated <br /> structures no later than March 31, 1979. <br /> <br /> Transfer of Card Room Permit - Continued to the meeting of December 5, 1978, <br /> for additional information. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Kephart, Wood, and }~yor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Butler <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood abstained from voting on approval of the City Council <br />Minutes of October 30, 1978, due to his absence from that meeting. <br /> <br />>~TTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested staff to report on what action can be taken <br />to control litter and rubbish being scattered on Busch Road as people are hauling <br />trash to the Transfer Station. He also requested a report regarding regulatory <br />action to control litter and garbage behind shopping centers. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested staff to investigate the possibility of extending <br />Valley Avenue without building a bridge across the Arroyo. Mr. Campbell stated <br />this matter would have to be discussed with Alameda County Flood Control. <br /> <br /> ~,~yor Mercer requested staff to review the left turns off of Main Street at <br />the signal lights. He stated he had received complaints that the signals did <br />not allow enough time for left turns to be made off of Main Street. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested a letter of support be sent to the City of Livermore <br />in their attempt to obtain full use of the diamond lane on 1-580.
