2:7'5 It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, that Resolution No. 78-266, approving the two general plan amendments as follows: (1) to change the land use designation of a 2 acre site located immediately westerly of 4444 Black Avenue (the Methodist Church) from "Public and Institu- tional" to "Commercial and Offices"; and .(2) to change the land use designation of an approximately 10 acre site located on the east side of Santa Rita Road about 225 feet north of Mohr Avenue from "Public and Institutional" to "Commer- cial and Offices", be adopted. Ma,-or Mercer declared the public hearing open ~ · Mayoz Mercer presented a letter from the Pleasanton Housing Authority dated October 5, 1978, requesting that funds be appropriated from the HCD 5th year funding toward activities which will directly benefit low and moderate income residents at Kottinger Place. Councilmember Brandes requested specific dollar amounts for the projects requested. Mr. Parsons, Executive Director for the Pleasanton }Iousing Authority, stated he did not have these figures but could get them to Council sometime this week. There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. Councilmember Brandes presented a letter from Pleasanton Gardens requesting an allocation of funds for improvements to their Recreation Center. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, to r~-e~pen the public hearing regarding review of projects to be funded under the Alameda County Urban County 1979 application for Housing and Community"Development Act of 1974 Funds, as amended, and continue the item to the City Council meeting of October 24, 1978, 8:00 P.M., Pleasanton Council Chambers, and requesting that additiop21 specific information be obtained regarding proposed projects to be funded, and that these be reviewed by the Human Services Commission with recom- mendations from them regarding priority.
