273 <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />to approve the application of Joe Ella for an amendment to the General Plan to <br />change the land use designation of a 2 acre site located immediately westerly of <br />4444 Black Avenue (the Methodist Church) from "Public and Institutional" to <br />"Commercial and Offices". <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEi~: Councilman Wood <br /> <br />App.iication of Ted Myers for an amendment to the General Plan to chan~e the land <br />use designation of an approximately 10 acre site located on the east side of Santa <br />Rita Road about 225 feet north of Mohr Avenue from "Public and Institutional" to <br />"CoF~ercial and Offices". A negative declaration of environmental impact will <br />also be considered <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated October 4, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Zayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the Negative Declaration and <br />the application. <br /> <br /> Jack Bras, representing the applicant, stated he concurred with the staff report <br />and recommendations. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further public testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public <br />hearing closed on the Negative Declaration and the application. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, <br />that Resolution No. 78-265, determining on the basis of a review of initial en- <br />virop~ental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact <br /> ~' Cit ' <br />wouie occur as outlined in the y s guidelines and that a Negative Declaration <br />js appropriate for an amendment to the General Plan to change the land use desig- <br />naticon of an approximately 10 acre site located on the east side of Santa Rita <br />Road about 225 feet north of Mohr Avenue from "Public and Institutional" to <br />"Commercial and Offices", be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT; Councilman Wood <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Mercer, approving <br />the application of Ted Myers for an amendment to the General Plan to change the <br />land use designation of an approximately 10 acre site located on the east side of <br />Santa Rita Road about 225 feet north of Mohr Avenue from "Public and Institutional" <br />to "Commercial and Offices". <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEnt: Councilman Wood <br /> <br /> 5. io/io/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
