Cou~ncilmember Butler stated he felt more people should be allowed to apply <br />for the position of Komandorski tenant representative on the Housing Authority <br />Board. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Mayor Mercer, to re-open for Komandorski tenants to apply as representative <br />on the Housing Authority Board, and that Council would accept applications <br />until November 3, 1978, to be interviewed on November 14, 1978. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABS~.,~: Councilman Wood <br /> <br />CITY COL.rNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br />C ou nc il. <br /> <br />MEETLNG OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Ms. Bey Hamlin, representing Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council, requested City <br />Council to appoint a liaison member to this committee, and she requested that <br />Councilmember KeDbart be considered for this assignment. After discussion, Mayor <br />Mercer appointed Councilmember Kephart to serve as the City Council liaison <br />members on the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council. Councilmember Kephart accepted <br />the assignment and stated he looks forward to meeting with this group. <br /> <br /> Y~yor Mercer reassigned various committee assignments of Councilmember Wood <br />to other members of the Council for the next six week period, due to Mr. Wood's <br />illness. <br /> <br /> Commander Harry Lara, representing the AAU Swim Club, stated this group was <br />making a gift to the J~ador High School pool of a $24,000.00 solar heating system <br />to allow longer use of the pool, but in turn would request that the Swim Club <br />have first priority to use the pool after the high school activities, and re- <br />quested the City to agree to this. <br /> <br /> !s~. Brown advised that the City Council had approved an Agreement with the <br />School District under the Consent Calendar tonight which provides the City first <br />priority after the school's use, but that the City would not be using the pool <br />during the winter months. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and <br />seconded by Mayor Mercer, to refer the matter of Priority use of the Amador <br />High School pool to the Park and Recreation Commission for review and recommen- <br />dation. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Wood <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />instructing staff to notify the Pleasanton High School District that the City <br />will not be using the pool until the beginning of the swim programs in the Spring. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEnt: Councilman Wood <br /> <br /> 3. 10/10/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
