After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Mayor Mercer, that Resolution No. 78-239, to return the Chevrolet Rescue <br />Modulance Vehicle to the County as allowed for in the contract; that the <br />Mini-Pumper be placed into daily service to replace the Rescue Vehicle; that <br />personnel be reassigned as a result of this change to increase the staffing <br />at Station #3 to three personnel per shift for approximately 40% of the time, <br />and three personnel at Station #2 on one shift for approximately 20% of the <br />time, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilman Wood <br />ABSEnt: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, <br />that the City Manager and Fire Chief be directed to negotiate with Alameda <br />County Emergency Medical Services in whatever manner necessary to store the <br />Rescue Modulance Vehicle in Pleasanton for use in disaster or at the discre- <br />tion of the Fire Department. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and ~yor Mercer <br />~IOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Determination of Reimbursement to the City for expenses incurred related to <br />the Foothill Hi5.h School Parade~ October 28~ 1978 <br /> <br />Determination of Reimbursement to the City. for expenses incurred related to <br />the Chamker of...~ommerce Parade~ September 17, 1978 <br /> Mr. Brown presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager-Walker, <br />dated September 5, 1978, regarding these two items. <br /> <br /> Joyce Getty, 925 Kottinger, representing the Chamber of Commerce, stated <br />this organization was willing to pay the parade expenses, however, she felt <br />Council should be consistent in their policy for reimbursement of costs to all <br />parade applications. <br /> <br /> Walter Bolling, 4971 Hillcrest Way, representing Foothill High School Band <br />Boosters Club, stated this parade was the largest fund raising event the Club <br />had, and to be required to pay for the City's costs incurred would cut down <br />on their profit considerably.
