Off-Street Parking Space Requirements)~ of Article 16 (Off-Street Parking), <br />.C~pter 2 (Zoning)., T~tle II (Zoning. and Development) of the Ordinance Code <br />of the C~ty of Pleasanton relating to Liquor Stores Parking Spaces <br />(Intro. 8-8-78., by a. vote 4-Ayes~ 1 Abstention) <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he would abstain from participation on this <br />item due to Conflict of interest. <br /> <br /> The City Attorney advised the Ordinance required three votes for adoption <br />therefore the item should be continued. <br /> <br /> }~yor Mercer declared the adoption of Ordinance No. 860, amending Sub- <br />section 3 (Office, Commercial and Industrial Uses not in C-N or C-R Districts), <br />of Section 2-9.16 (Schedule of Off-Street Parking Space Requirements), of <br />Article 16 (Off-Street Parking), Chapter 2 (Zoning), Title II (Zoning and <br />Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating to <br />Liquor Stores Parking Spaces, be continued to the meeting of September 12, <br />1978, for full Council attendance. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOAP~S AND COMMISSIONS <br />Action Taken bX the Plannin~ Commission on Items at their Meetin~ of 8-9-78 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated August 9, 1978, regarding this matter. <br />No City Council action was required or taken on the item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY M~NAGER <br />Adoption of 1976 Uniform Building, Plumbing, Housing and Mechanical Codes with <br />Modifications and Amendments <br /> Mr. Cullum presented his report dated August 23, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Mayor Mercer, that Ordinance No. 863, to be read by title only and waiving <br />further reading thereof, adopting the 1976 editions of the uniform building <br />code, the uniform plumbing code, the uniform mechanical code and the uniform <br />housing code and amending sections of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasan- <br />ton which adopt and modify those codes, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENt: Councilmen Kephart and Wood <br /> <br />Recommendation to Return Chevrolet Rescue Modulance Vehicle to CountX <br /> Mr. Hill presented his report dated August 8, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown advised he had today received a telephone call from Ben Mathews, <br />Alameda County Medical Emergency Services, stating that if the County is unable <br />to find a place to use this vehicle that it would either be stored or sold, and <br />indicated there was a possibility of it being stored in Pleasanton, to be used <br />in the event of a major disaster. Mr. Brown stated he fully supported the <br />staff report. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Fran Walls, 525 Junipero Street, requested this item be continued for <br /> full Council attendance because Councilmember Wood had information she felt <br /> should be considered before a decision was made on the matter. <br /> <br /> 8. 8/29~78 <br /> <br /> <br />
