After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- <br />member Wood, that Ordinance No. 893, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, establishing speed limits as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Foothill Road - 1-580 to Stoneridge Drive 45 mph <br /> (To become effective upon annexation) <br /> 2. Foothill Road - Highland Oaks Drive north to City Limit 45 mph <br /> 3. Hopyard Road - West Las Positas to Stoneridge 45 mph <br /> 4. Pico Avenue - Kottinger to Vineyard 30 mph <br /> 5. Santa Rita Road - }~in to Black 25 mph <br /> 6. Santa Rita Road - Black to Mohr 35 mph <br /> 7. Santa Rita Road - Old Santa Rita to 1-580 50 mph <br /> 8. Stoneridge Drive - Foothill to Springdale 40 mph <br /> 9. West Las Positas - Dorman to Payne 35 mph <br /> <br />be introduced. <br />The roll call vo'te was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Brown stated there would be an Executive Session at the conclusion of <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />Extension of A~reement to Provide Fire Protection Service to Unincorporated Areas <br /> Mr. Brown presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager-Walker, <br />dated June 14, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br />After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mercer, that Resolution No. 79-109, approving the Modification of Contract <br />extending the existing agreement between the City and the County for fire service <br />to the Remen Tract, Castle~ood, Happy Valley and Stanley Boulevard areas until <br />June 30, 1980, for a minimum payment of $54,077.00, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Resolution Establishing Fee for TempQrary Parking Lot Permits <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated June 19, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood spoke to a flat fee should be based on the size of the <br />parking lot and stated that even City building permits take this into considera- <br />tion. He stated he could not see the reason why a 25 car parking lot has to pay <br />the same as a 100 car parking lot and indicated a sliding scale of 0 to 25 cars <br />at one rate, 26 to another amount at another rate, etc. He stated he felt that <br />non-profit organizations should not have to pay any fee. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- <br />member Wood, that Resolution No. 79-110, amending Resolution }Io. 77-123 (Establish- <br />ing Fees and Charges for Various Municipal Services of the City of Pleasanton) by <br />adding subparagraph 23 to Section II(C) of Exhibit A, relating to fees for temporary <br />parking permits, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 13. 6/26/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
