The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and }~yor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, <br />that Resolution No. 79-67, approving the application of Castlewood Enterprises <br />for a General Plan amendment which would change the land use designation of a 2.5 <br />acre site located at the southeast quadrant of the junction of 3unipero Drive <br />with Sunol Boulevard from "Public and Institutional" to "Commercial and Offices" <br />and "High Density Residential"; that roughly 1.6 acres of the site adjacent to <br />Sunol Boulevard would become "Commercial and Offices" and the remaining easterly <br />0.9 acres would become "High Density Residential", be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of Ponderosa Homes for a General Plan amendment to change the land <br />use designation of a 9.8 acre site located between Hansen Drive and Paseo Santa <br />Fruz immediately west of Valley Avenue from "High Density Residential" to "Medium <br />DensitX Residential". A Negative Declaration of environmental impacts will also <br />be considered <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated April ].6, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> The Director of Planning for Ponderosa Homes spoke in favor of the application. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Kovac, 3124 Weymouth Court, stated he was opposed to the applica- <br />tion because it was not consistent with the General Plan. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 79-68, determining on the basis of a review of initial en- <br />vironmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact <br />would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative Declaration <br />is appropriate for a General Plan amendment to change the land use designation of <br />a 9.8 acre site located between Hansen Drive and Paseo Santa Cruz immediately west <br />of Valley Avenue from "High Density Residential" to "Medium Density Residential'~ be <br />The roll call vete was as follows: adopted. <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 79-69, approving the application of Ponderosa Homes for a <br />General Plan amendment to change the land use designation of a 9.8 acre site <br />located between Hansen Drive and Paseo Santa Cruz immediately west of Valley <br />Avenue from "Itigh Density Residential" to "Medium Density Residential" with the <br />condition that any lessening of multi-family units caused by this General Plan <br />amendment be replaced in another location and that if sufficient additional <br />multiple units are not added to the General Plan, this General Plan amendment <br />shall not take effect, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 9. 4/24/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
