The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and ~yor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEnt: None <br /> <br />Application of the Planning Commission to change the land use designation of a <br />6.6 acre site located at the southwest intersection of Valley Avenue and Hartsen <br />Drive from "Commercial and Offices" to "Medium Density Residential". or any other <br />appropriate General Plan designation <br /> <br />On the basis of Initial Study of the .potential environmental impacts of the pro- <br />jec.t.~ the Director of Plannin8 and Community Development has determined that the <br />p~oposed p~oject would not have any potential significant adverse effects on the <br />environment and that an environmental impact report need not be piepared. This <br />Initial S. tudX is available for review at the Plannin~ Division~ 200 Bernal Avenue, <br />Pleasanton. Comments on this decision may be directed to either the planning <br />staff prior to the above meeting ~te~ or ~.ir. ectl~ to the Ci~ Council at the <br />above noticed meeting <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated April 16, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ted Fairfield, Civil Engineer, representing John ~.~ckay, spoke in favor <br />of the application. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 79-70, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur <br />as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative Declaration is appropriate <br />to change the land use designation of a 6.6 acre site located at the southwest <br />intersection of Valley Avenue and Hansen Drive from "Commercial and Offices" to <br />"Medium Density Residential", be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, <br />that Resolution No. 79-71, approving the application of the Planning Commission <br />to change the land use designation of a 6.6 acre site located at the southwest <br />intersection of Valley Avenue and Hansen Drive from "Commercial and Offices" to <br />"Medium Density Residential", be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes recessed the meeting at 12:05 A.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes reconvened the meeting at 12:10 A.M. <br /> <br /> 10. 4/24/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
