Remen Tract <br /> The following persons spoke in favor of annexing the Remen Tract into the <br />City: <br /> <br /> Joseph J. Ales, 4046 Graham Street, owner of property at 3655 Vineyard <br /> Avenue and 495 Linden Way <br /> Kenneth Henkelman, 7618 Desertwood Lane, owner of property on Linden Way <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in opposition to annexation of the Remen Tract <br />into the City: <br /> <br /> Chuck Muth, 3644 Vine Street, who presented a petition signed by 42 <br /> residents of the Remen Tract, which read as follows: <br /> "As residents of the REMEN TRACT and surrounding area <br /> we object to our properties being annexed into the City <br /> of Pleasanton and request we keep the existing status <br /> in the County of Alameda". <br /> <br /> William Kovac, 3124 Weymouth Court, recarding care o'f septic tanks. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Wood, not to consider annexation of the Remen Tract, as described <br />on the map attached to the staff report, into the City at this time. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded <br />by Councilmember Butler, instructing staff to prepare a report regarding possible <br />alternative solutions for the properties in the Remen Tract that have requested <br />connection to the sewer system because of failing septic tanks. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEh~: None <br /> <br /> Staff was instructed to send copies of the report to the affected property <br />owners and advise them when this matter would be reviewed by Council. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> There were no matters continued for decision presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />SPECIal ~aPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMI~ISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by Design Review Board and Planning Commission at their Special <br />Meetin~ of 3-6-79 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated March 7, 1979, regarding this matter. <br />No action was required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF TItE CITY MANAGER (Contd.) <br />Commercial/Industrial Sewer Allocation: Willow West ProEosal <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated b~rch 8, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> 7. 3/13/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
