Mr. 3ack Bras, Architect representing the owner of the property at 4741 Harrison <br />Street, stated this property had been zoned multiple since 1964, that the owner had <br />complied with all the requirements of City ordinances, had already expended a lot of <br />money on the proposed project, and he did not feel the property should be placed in <br />a Study District and thus delay this development. <br /> <br /> Council advised that while Design Review Board could approve the project next <br />month, Residential Allocation Program approval for developments would not be approved <br />by City Council until November and that the subject proposal could be reviewed in the <br />meantime. <br /> <br /> Mr. William Kovac, 3124 Weymouth Court, stated he supported Councilmember Kephart's <br />request for greater control of recreational vehicles, truck and boat parking on streets <br />and in driveways in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Ms. Betty Rider, 4393 Mirador Drive, stated that in regard to parking of large <br />vehicles and boats there was usually not access to a property owners rear yard for <br />parking of such vehicles and boats in rear and side yards, and that Council should <br />consider providing an area or place where such vehicles could be parked. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 9:35 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened 'the meeting at 9:45 P.M. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />~.pplicatton of .the C. ity Council for an amendment to Section 2-7.08(a) of Article 8~ <br />Chapter 2~ Title II of the Ordinance Code o~ the. Cit7 of Pleasanton which would re- <br />vise comp~hensivelX the schedule of permitted and conditional uses in all of the <br />commercially zoned districts except the CR(M) and CR(P) Districts of the g,ity of <br />Pleasanton <br />(Continued Open from 11-14-78, 12-5-78s 1-9-79, 1.~2~.7.9~.and 2-13-79) <br /> Mr. Brown reviewed the specific purposes of each of the "C" Districts and stated <br />that the uses should be consistent with the purposes. <br /> <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated February 20, 1979, regarding this matter. <br />He stated he had received a request from Willow West Properties asking that auto sales, <br />recreational vehicle sales, furniture stores and financial institutions be allowed as <br />conditional uses in the C-F District. Mr. Harris stated he did not concur with allow- <br />ing financial institutions as conditionally allowed in the C-F District but was agree- <br />able to the other categories. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Bissell, Civil Engineer representing Willow West Properties, stated his <br />client had 44 acres on Hopyard Road zoned C-F District and requested that auto sales <br />and related services, recreational vehicle sales, furniture sales and financial in- <br />stitutions be allowed as conditional uses in the C-F District. <br /> <br /> Mr. John Dimanto, representing Willow West Properties, stated that furniture <br />stores and some auto sales preferred to identify their location with a street or <br />boulevard rather than a shopping center, therefore, he felt it should be an allowed <br />use in the C-F District. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Sharon Roberrs, 775 Catalina Drive, Livemore, stated she concurred with <br />the staff report dated February 20, 1979, as it relates to massage services. <br /> <br /> 4. 2/27/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
