C.i.ty of Pleasanton accordin~l7 <br />(Introduced 11-27-79.~ 4-A~es~ 1-No) <br /> Mayor Brandes stated that Ordinance No. 920 was introduced on November 27, 1979, <br />by a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-No, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> The City Attorney read a new Section 1 of Ordinance No. 920, correcting the draft <br />ordinance that was submitted with the Council packets. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated he was opposed to the rezoning because he felt the <br />property in question was too marrow and too deep for the proposed development. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Mayor Brandes, that Ordi- <br />nance No. 920, rezoning the 2.0 acre site located at 3851 Vineyard Avenue (Joseph <br />Madden) from the RM-4000 (Multiple Residential, 10 units/acre) to the RM-1500 (Mul- <br />tiple Residential, 29 units/acre) District, and amending the Zoning Map of the City <br />of Pleasanton accordingly, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: Councilman Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Restroom Facilities at Youth Sports Park <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated December 3, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 79-256, approving that the 1979-80 Capital Improvement Program be <br />amended to include construction of restroom facilities at the Youth Sports Park and <br />that funds for the additional project be appropriated from the Neighborhood Park <br />Fund, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Discussion Relative to Affordable Housin~ <br /> Councilmember Kephart stated that the subject of subsidized housing, affordable <br />housing and other concepts relating to the housing issue have been discussed before <br />as have how the City will meet these needs, and that some problems and some points <br />need to be brought up. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart asked Mr. Brown where the City is with regard to the <br />housing needs survey. Mr. Brown responded that the data collection is complete <br />and an analysis of that data is currently under~ay. The survey and analysis will <br />be on the City Council agenda on January 9, 1980, and Council will have the report <br />about ten days prior to the meeting to provide ample opportunity for review.
