Mrs. Diane McMichael, 7499 Hillsdale Drive, stated she was concerned about <br />parking and asked if any land would be held in abeyance for this. Mayor Brandes <br />stated that to accommodate any parking for BART it would be necessary for BART <br />to build parking structures but no land is being reserved. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Butler, ~hat Resolution No. 79-254, approving the application of Taubman <br />Company, Inc., for an amendment to the General Plan which would change the Land <br />Use designation of the property located on the northeast corner of Foothill Road <br />and Stoneridge Drive from "Public and Institutional" (planned BART station) to <br />"Commercial and Offices", subject to conditions stated herein above and with <br />appropriate symbols on legand map, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Appeal of George. Canessa of a decision of the Design Review Board denTi.n~ design <br />review approval for an addition to the commercial service complex located at 3724- <br />32 Stanley Boulevard <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated December 3, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. George Canessa, appellant, reviewed the building structure and landscaping <br />of the proposed addition, stating there would be two separate buildings identical <br />to the present buildings on the property. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, ~or Brandes declared the public hearing <br />closed. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Mayor <br />Brandes, to deny the appeal of George Canessa of a decision of the Design Review <br />Board denying design review approval for an addition to the commercial service <br />complex located at 3724-32 Stanley Boulevard. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Wood and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, and Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded <br />by Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 79-255, approving the appeal of George <br />Canessa of a decision of the Design Review Board denying design review approval for <br />an addition to the commercial service complex located at 3724-32 Stanley Boulevard <br />subject to the following conditions: (1) that the fence around the storage area may <br />be chain link with redwood slats; (2) that six feet concrete curbs will be required <br />adjacent to landscaped planted areas only where they abut parking lots and driveways; <br />and (3) that the pine trees and elm tree may be removed, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 14. 12/11/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
