o. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-216, rejecting the one bid from Baron Pool <br /> .... Plasterers, in the amount of $15,500.00 for the replastering of the Amador <br /> Park Aquatic Center Wading Pool, and postponing rebid on this project until <br /> next year. <br /> <br /> p. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-217, authorizing the City of Pleasanton to par- <br /> ticipate in the State Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program and to execute a <br /> contract with the Department of the California Highway Patrol regarding <br /> participation in the program, and authorizing execution of the contract by <br /> the appropriate City officials. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />C' AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />~' NOES: None <br />C~-' ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer voted No on item 4f - Approval of Engineering Services for <br /> Pico Avenue Extension. <br /> <br /> MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated that a letter had been received from Howard Neely, <br /> dated Novembec 12, 1979, resigning his position as a member of the Housing Authority <br /> Board. After discussion, Council instructed staff to advertise for this vacancy on <br /> the Housing Authority Board. Council also instructed staff to schedule interviews <br /> for the Heman Services applicants on November 27, 1979, beginning at 7:00 P.M. <br /> Council requested that a letter of appreciation be sent to Howard Neely, thanking <br /> h~ for his service on the Housing Authority Board. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL C~ITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br /> Council. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> No one in the audience addressed the Chair. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> Revocation of Certi~icate of Public Convenience and Necessity held by Dakota <br /> McGinnis, St. <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated October 26, 1979, regarding this matter, <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> ~ was moved by CoUncilmember Butler~ and seconded by CoUncilmember Wood, that <br /> Resolution Ko. 79-218, revoking the Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity <br /> held by Dakota McGinnis because of discontinued operation for more than 30 days, be <br /> adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 4. 11/13/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
