It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br /> that Ordinance No. 908, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br /> thereof, rezoning to HPD (Hillside Planned Development) District the 73 acre <br /> site located west of Foothill Road and north of Longview Drive, and amending <br /> the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be introduced. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of Michelle Myers to fezone an8.1 acre site located east of Santa Rita <br />Road approx~n~.tely 120 feet north of Mohr Avenue from the P (Public and Institu- <br />tional) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) District and to desi~na~ <br />appropriate commercial uses within sections of the site. An adjacent 1 acre par-. <br />cel of land located on Santa Rita Road adjacent to the subject site may also be <br />considered for rezonin~. to the PUD District or to the O (Office) District. The <br />City Council may recommend rezoning either parcel of land as listed above or to <br />any other zoning designation consistent with the General Plan <br /> <br />On the basis of an Initial. Study 9f the potential environmental 'impacts of the <br />project~ t~e Director of PlaininS and Community Development has determined that <br />the proposed project would not have anXpotential siMnificant adverse effects on <br />the environment and that an environmental impact report need not be.. prepared. .. <br />This Initial Stud7 is available for review at the Plannin5 Division~ 200 Bernal <br />~venue~ Pleasanton. Comments on this decision may be directed to either the <br />Planning. staff prior to the above meeting date~ or directly tp the Cit~ Council <br />at the above noticed meetins <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated August 9, 1979, .regarding this ~atter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michele Myers, 1811 Santa Rita Road, applicant, stated she concurred with <br />the staff report and Planning Commission recommendation for approval. She reviewed <br />the proposed zoning for the parcel. <br /> <br /> Dr. Donald Clementson, 2723 Santa Rita Road, asked if his one acre pa=cel was <br />included in the rezoning application. Staff advised that it was included in the <br />0 (Office) rezoning portion but was not a part of the Myers PUD. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the Negative Declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 79-173, determining on the basis of a review of initial environ- <br />mental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would <br />occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative Declaration is appro- <br />priate to rezone a 9.1 acre site located east of Santa Rita Road approximately 120 <br />feet north of Mohr Avenue from the P (Public and Institutional) District to the PUD <br />(Planned Unit Development) District and to designate appropriate commercial uses <br />within sections of the site, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 6. 9/18/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
