It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that Ordinance No. 908, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, rezoning to HPD (Hillside Planned Development) District the 73 acre site located west of Foothill Road and north of Longview Drive, and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be introduced. Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the Negative Declaration. Ms. Michele Myers, 1811 Santa Rita Road, applicant, stated she concurred with the staff report and Planning Commission recommendation for approval. She reviewed the proposed zoning for the parcel. Dr. Donald Clementson, 2723 Santa Rita Road, asked if his one acre pa=cel was included in the rezoning application. Staff advised that it was included in the 0 (Office) rezoning portion but was not a part of the Myers PUD. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing closed on the application and the Negative Declaration. It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 79-173, determining on the basis of a review of initial environ- mental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative Declaration is appro- priate to rezone a 9.1 acre site located east of Santa Rita Road approximately 120 feet north of Mohr Avenue from the P (Public and Institutional) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) District and to designate appropriate commercial uses within sections of the site, be adopted.
