Adoption of Ordinance No. 907, amending Ordinance No. 846 (Horse Ordinance) to <br /> retitle the ordinance "Robert C. Philcox Memorial Horse Ordinance". <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-169, approving Claims for the month of June, 1979, <br /> in the amount of $831,609.86, and for the month of July, 1979, in the amount of <br /> $767,055.68. <br /> <br />f. Proclaim October 7-14, 1979, as Symphony Week in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Mayor Brandes read a letter from the City Manager to the Pleasanton City ~mployees <br />Association, commending them for their recent construction of a Barbeque Pit at <br />Amador Park Community Center. Council also expressed their appreciation to the PCEA <br />for this generous donation for the benefit of the community. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes advised that the two Planning Commissioners that would serve on <br />an Urbanization Line Study with he and Councilmember Mercer were Commissioners <br />Geppert and Jamieson. Mayor Brandes stated this committee expected to have a report <br />back to the City Council by December on this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated he had received several comments of concern in conjunction <br />with attempts to build new housing at Komandorski Village relative to the inordinate <br />high cost of construction and the City's responsibility in this matter. He empha- <br />sized that the City has no responsibility over the'Housing Authority. Mayor Brandes <br />expressed concern about the high construction costs and asked if the City Council <br />wanted to evaluate the project in an effort to assist in attempting to lower these <br />costs. After considerable discussion, Mayor Brandes instructed staff to schedule <br />a time on the Council agenda for the Housing Authority Board to make a presentation <br />regarding the status of housing replacements at Komandorski Village, costs, and <br />other pertinent information, and to allow for a brief question and answer period, <br />after which time it will be determined if a further report and action is necessary. <br />Mr. Brown stated he would try to arrange this presentation on October 23, 1979, at <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COmmITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br /> 2. 9/18/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
