Annexation Request: Hacienda Mobile Homes~ 5 acres on Vineyard Avenue <br />~yor Brandes stated the applicant had requested this item be continued for two <br />weeks but due to the above action taken by City Council, he declared this item denied. <br /> <br />Report on Use and Relocation of Vizzolini House and Feasibility of Using Cultural <br />Arts Center for City Council Meetings <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report dated September 11, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Considerable Council discussion ensued regarding the compatibility of the house <br />with the surroundings of the Civic Center building. Council did not voice any <br />opposition to the proposed cost or intended use of the house for office space and <br />storage. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Mayor Brandes, to move the <br />house at 391 St. Mary Street to the Civic Center site for additional office space. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Wood and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, and Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, <br />instructing staff to prepare drawings showing proposed location and landscaping of <br />the Vizzolini House on the Civic Center site and the estimated costs, for presenta- <br />tion at the meeting of October 9, 1979. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, <br />that staff review the possibility of moving the Vizzolini House to another City <br />owned lot or one that the City could purchase, and lease the house for Office use. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilman Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />City Council Policy Statement~ Re: Court and Jail Facilities <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated September 13, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated he would like to add another statement to the policy <br />relative to total cost to the taxpayers, which he felt should be one of the main <br />considerations when determining the location of these facilities. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Mayor Brandes, approving <br />a City Council policy statement relative to Court and Jail Facilities as follows: <br /> <br /> - Proposed East County Government Center. The City Council supports the loca- <br /> tion of the proposed East County Government Center in Pleasanton on the site <br /> east of HoDyard Road. <br /> <br /> - Pre-Trial Detention Facility at Proposed East County Government Center. The <br /> City Council does not support the location of a pre-trial detention facility <br /> in conjunction with the proposed East County Government Center. If such a <br /> facility was a mandatory part of the Center the City would not support the <br /> location of the Center in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> 10. 9/18/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
