It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 79-149, amending Appendix B of the Residential Allocation Program <br />selection criteria '~fandatory System Elements", and as amended by Council at this <br />meeting, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: Councilman Butler <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Request of Jerr7 Geor~atos for a determination as to whether the multiple residential <br />compl~ proposed for the southwest corner of Augustine Street and Rose Avenue mat be <br />constructed as condominiums <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated August 9, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Bras, Architect representing the applicant, stated that the owner could <br />not obtain financing for this project when classified as apartments therefore he is <br />requesting permission to build condominiums on the site; the plans would remain <br />exactly the same. <br /> <br /> Mr. Art Dunkley, 844 Division Street, stated he had assisted the developer in <br />trying to secure financing for this project and that no londer will loan for apart- <br />ment construction. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- <br />member Wood, to approve the request of Jerry Georgatos allowing the multiple resi- <br />dential complex proposed for the southwest corner of Augustine Street and Rose <br />Avenue to be constructed as condominiums. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Mercer and Wood <br />NOES: Councilman Butler and Mayor Brandes <br />ABSENT: Councilman Kephart <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared this matter continued to the meeting of September 18, <br />1979, due to the split vote on the item. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested the Mayor to formulate a committee consisting <br />of representatives from City Council and Planning Commission to review the Urbaniza- <br />tion Line that surrounds the City. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer inquired as to when the traffic study on Greenwood Road <br />would be completed. Mr. Brown advised this report would be on the agenda of <br />September 11, 1979. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that City Council commend Matt Anger for his <br />outstanding performance in the National Tennis Tournament, to be presented to him <br />at the next City Council meeting. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested a copy of the Quarry Plan and accompanying EIR. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested information regarding additional park lands that <br />East Bay Regional Park District is attempting to purchase. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer requested that letters be sent to Senator Holmdahl and <br />Assemblyman Mori relative to the rejection of the Special Traffic Enforcement <br />Program grant, to secure their assistance in reconsideration and approval of this <br />funding. <br /> <br /> 22. 8/28/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
