After dis- <br />cussion, Council instructed staff to research the background information on this <br />matter and Council's previous action, and report back on this issue. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated he felt City Council meetingswere more appropriate being <br />held in the Cultural Arts Center. Also in this regard, he suggested the City re- <br />locate the Vizzolini house on St. Mary Street to a location acceptable for City <br />use. He stated that perhaps some of the activities currently being conducted at <br />the Cultural Arts Center could be carried on in the Vizzolini house to allow <br />Council and Commissions use of the Cultural Arts Center, Councilmember Butler <br />stated he favored use of the Fairgrounds Cafeteria for conduct of Council meetings <br />as it allowed more room for people to attend. After discussion, Council instructed <br />staff to prepare a report regarding possible relocation and uses of the City owned <br />Vizzolini house on St. Mary Street, and the feasibility of using the Cultural Arts <br />Center for Council and Commissions meetings. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Kephart reported on the LAVWMAmeeting of July 11, 1979, stating <br />that with regard to the proposed Reclamation Study, DSRSD requested this matter be <br />postponed until their Board had sufficient time to study the proposal. Representa- <br />tives of the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton were in favor of conducting the <br />Reclamation Study for Phase II of the LAVI~ pipeline. Councilmember Kephart ad- <br />vised that since the LAVWMAmeeting on July 11, 1979, that DSRSD had taken a posi- <br />tion against the study. LAVWMA bylaws require a unanimous vote for passage of any <br />proposals. Mr. Brown advised that the City of Livermore instructed their represen- <br />tatives to move to change the voting requirements of the LAVWMA bylaws.
