Mr. Doug Bennington, 4957 Mohr Avenue, asked Council what action the public <br /> could take to support the opening of the diamond lanes on 1-580. ~yor Brandes <br /> advised there was a County telephone number to call for the public to give input. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> Application of Mission Park Investment Company for approval of a planned developT <br /> ment consisting of a 108 lot residential subdivision containin.g a 2.4 acre com- <br /> mercial area on a 54 acre parcel of land located immediately easterly. of Sunol <br /> Boulevard and between Mission Drive and Pico Avenue <br /> <br /> An Environmental Impact Report has been pre. pared for this pr'oject and copies are <br /> available for review at the Planning Division~ 200 Bernal Avenue~ pleasa~to~.~.. and <br /> at the Pleasanton Library~ 4333 Black Avenue <br /> (Continued Open from 5/22/79) <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated June 29, 1979, regarding this matter. <br />Mr. ~rris stated staff recommends that one additional condition be added;that the <br />applicant attempt to work with the developer or owner of the Myers Property to <br />prepare a precise plan for the location of Pico Avenue from First Street to at <br />least the eastern boundary of the subject property and that this plan shall be <br />considered and approved a part of the Tentative ~p on the subject property. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br /> Environmental Impact Report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Richard Frisbee, Environmental Center, representing Mission Park Invest- <br />ment Company, stated his client concurred with the staff report and the conditions <br />as established by the Planning Commission in their Resolution No. 1742. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes asked Mr. Frisbee if he had any problem with the condition <br />recommended by staff regarding precise plan for the location of Pico Avenue. Mr. <br />Frisbee stated he was concerned about working with Centex but had no problems as <br />it relates to his project. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Judith Mayhew, 5584 San Jose Drive, representing Mission Park Homeowners <br />Association, stated that generally speaking the homeowners were delighted with the <br />project. She urged that all the conditions be adhered to. Mrs. Mayhew expressed <br />concern regarding access to the park and asked if additional parking at the end <br />of Dolores Street cul-de-sac could be allowed. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Charlotte Severin, 4513 M~rador Drive, representing Pleasanton Heights <br />Howmo~mers, thanked the Planning Commission and staff for their stand on making <br />this a quality project. She requested that the majority of the homes be one-story <br />or split-level rather than two-story. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to the application or the Environ- <br />mental Impact Report. <br /> <br /> -Mayor Brandes requested Mr. Frisbee to respond to the concerns of the audience. <br />Mr. Frisbee stated that parking at the end of Dolores could be worked out. Mayor <br />Brandes asked what could be done to keep motorcycles out ef the Park. Mr. Frisbee <br />advised that the Park could be fenced and a mazed-gate installed that would allow <br />only pedestrians and bicycles to enter. Mr. Frisbee stated that regarding single- <br />story and split-level homes, he would not like to be limited in building two-story <br />t~ouses and that the project will be architecturally treated with proper elevation. <br /> <br /> 3. 7/10/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
