On the basis of an Initial Study of the potential environmental impacts <br /> of t~e project, the Director of Planning and Community Development has <br /> determined that the proposed project would not have any potential signi- <br /> ficant adverse effects on the environment and that an environmental im- <br /> pact report need not be prepared. This Initial Study is available for <br /> review at the Planning Division, 200 Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton. Comments <br /> on this decision may be directed to either the Planning staff prior to <br /> the above meeting date, or directly to the City Council at the above <br /> noticed meeting, <br /> <br /> open public hearing and continue to 7-24-79. <br /> <br />Add item 13b - Condemnation Powers Outside the City Limits. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be no Executive Session held at the conclusion <br />of this meeting. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A_pRroval of City Council Minutes for June 26, 1979 <br /> Mayor Brandes declared this item continued to the meeting of July 24, 1979, <br />because the Minutes had not been completed. <br /> <br />~doption of Resol~.tion Delegating .Certain Authority to Ci. ty 1.~ager in the Pro- <br />cessinS. of Disabilit.y Retirements <br /> ~yor Brandes declared this item continued to the meeting of July 24, 1979, <br />for discussion with the City Manager. <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> There were no matters initiated by Councilmembers presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes advised that Councilmember Kephart had been appointed as a <br />member of the Alameda County Regional Criminal Justice Planning Board for a two <br />year term ending June, 1981. Councilmember Kephart thanked the Mayorst Conference <br />and the City Council for their support of his appointment. <br /> <br /> ~yor Brandes stated that the Mayors~ Conference had unanimously supported his <br />resolution to further study opening of the diamond lanes eastbound on 1-580. Mayor <br />Brandes advised that he and others would be meeting with the Sierra Club this week <br />regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes read a letter from Vermillion Development Company commending the <br />Pleasanton Fire Department and Chief Hill for their quick response and effective <br />action to a fire in one of their townhouse condomintums under construction on the <br />Del Valle Parkway. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mrs. Ruth Freis, 1520 Catalina Court, Livermore, representing Inter-Act, pre- <br />sented a letter to the City Council requesting clarification of Pleasanton's <br />policies and procedures related to CETA. }~yor Brandes advised that the City <br />Manager would respond to the concerns of Inter-Act upon his return from vacation. <br /> <br /> 2. 7/i0/7g <br /> <br /> <br />
